Skoda Kushaq and Slavia comes with six airbags now

The prices of Slavia and Kushaq have gone up by Rs 10,000 to Rs 35,000 after the update.

Skoda made some changes to both the Slavia and the Kushaq cars. Now, they come with six airbags as a standard feature, which is good for safety. But because of these changes, the prices went up a bit. The Kushaq now costs between Rs 11.99 lakh to Rs 19.79 lakh, while the Slavia is priced from Rs 11.63 lakh to Rs 18.83 lakh. These prices are for buying directly from the showroom in India.

What’s different about the Skoda Slavia and Kushaq?

So far, both the Slavia and the Kushaq only had six airbags on the top version called Style. The lower versions like Ambition, Onyx, and Active had only two airbags. But now, all versions of both models come with six airbags as standard. Because of this change, the prices for the basic models have gone up by Rs 10,000-35,000.

Both the Kushaq and Slavia are highly rated cars, getting 5 stars from Global NCAP. Even when they had just two airbags, they got this rating. Other safety features in both models include ESC, multi-collision braking system, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), brake assist, and traction control.

Among the competitors of Kushaq, cars like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Honda Elevate come with six airbags as standard. But models like Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, and MG Astor don’t. Among Slavia’s competitors, Hyundai Verna and Honda City also come with six airbags as standard.

It’s important to note that the Volkswagen versions of both Kushaq and Slavia, called the Taigun SUV and Virtus sedan, have not been updated yet to include six airbags as standard.
